Just retired Rahul Dravid will be nominated for Padma Bhushan award 2012 for his service and contribution to Indian cricket.
Padma Bhushan is the third highest civilian honour in India after Bharat Ratna and Padma Vibhushan.
Rahul Dravid had announced retirement from cricket in March 2012 after playing 16 years of international cricket for India.
Opener Gautam Gambhir will be nominated for Padma Shri.
The nominations will be sent to the Indian Government by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Sachin Tendulkar has won Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan earlier in 1999 and 2008 respectively.
